Water Baptism

Acts 2:38: Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, everyone of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

We believe in the importance of water baptism as an act of obedience to God and a public symbol declaring our commitment to Jesus Christ (Mark 16:15-16). The waters of baptism symbolize death to the sinful nature as we go under the water and our new life in Christ as we come up out of the water (Romans 6:3-4). We believe that those who have repented and put their faith in Jesus will be baptized in obedience to the Word of God (Acts 16:30-33). We do not believe a minimum age requirement is necessary for baptism. We believe even a child can understand all that is necessary for salvation.
